We aren't farmers or anything, but we've got farms on all sides.
This makes for some interesting photo ops of quiet roads at night.
So I went out at night to get some interesting photos of quiet roads, now that I have a tripod and can use shutter speeds slower than 1/60 (woo!)
It's kinda creepy, standing in the middle of the road, setting up your tripod and waiting for a car to turn you into a pavement pancake or a crazed farmer to chop you up and feed you to his pigs (read: william pickton).
But I managed to get some okay pictures, and I went home.
IMPORTANT: Always review pictures CLOSELY on the camera screen.
So, I checked out the pictures on my computer, and they had these weird reflections.
Fuck, turns out they came from the UV filters I forgot to remove before the shoot.
Shoot fail.
So I went out AGAIN and took the pictures over again (waiting for crazy farmer AGAIN), and they came out better (obvz).
Shoot win.
I also tried to manual focus for these pictures.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
Autofocus still beats me though :<
